Annoying things about Blogger

hello...

Today, I am gonna talk about Blogger. It's an amazingly PURELY AWESOME site that you can make your own blog for FREE! No offense to Weebly or anything, but I like Blogger better. There is just some really annoying things about Blogger!

okay, so, 

one annoying thing is about the 'Older Posts'. I have so many posts, that I worked SO hard on, that probably nobody read, because I keep writing and writing, and then the older posts are not shown. You need to click on the 'older posts' button @ the VERY VERY bottom. And I bet no one EVER reads them since they are @ the very bottom and you only get there when you want to!

Anyway, that's just ONE annoying thing. When commenting, you need to "prove that you aren't a robot"! I mean, what's the point of that. Because of this annoying factor, people might not comment as much as they would if that wasn't there. 

UGH!!! So annoying! And sometimes you can hardly even READ what is there, so it takes a few times. 

Finally, you can't write actual 'posts' on pages. See how when you write new posts on your home page, it separates them? Well, on pages, you can't DO that. 

See, when I try to edit it, the page comes out in the format where you can only 'update it', not write new posts for every new thing that happened! This is really annoying, especially for the "What Book Am I Currently Reading?" page! I would love to separate it out and make new posts, but NO, you just CAN'T do that! ugh! It's so annoying!

When I click on the page to edit, it pops up like this, so I can only write more to update, not write a new post on that page!

this was kinda a random post, but I got the idea to post about annoying things about blogger… I don't know why… It just came to me, so yeah! :)

HAPPY FOOD DAY!!

Today is the day before SPRING BREAK!! I declare it "Food Day"! (this was supposed to be posted on Friday!) 
That was the google doodle... I think it was yesterday, maybe the day before... Anyways... I declare it "Food Day!" because I am SO HYPED UP ON SUGGGAR!! 

In French, Emmalee brought CREPES for the class! Poor Emmalee, she didn't actually get to enjoy them herself because she went home, but she had homemade crepes with either Nutella, Lemon and sugar, or caramel. I got the lemon (citron) and (et) sugar (sucre). IT WAS AMAZING! My special thanks to Emmalee! THANK YOU!! They were delicious! For any of you non-French people out there, Crepes are a deliciously, amazing yummy French dessert. Here is a picture of one if you want to know. They can be filled with practically anything! Salmon and cream cheese and caper, lemon and sugar, Nutella (a chocolate hazelnut spread), mushrooms and turkey and cheese, ANYTHING! There can be savory or dessert ones, or even breakfast ones filled with granola! THEY ARE SO GOOD!! There is actually a Crepe restaurant in Hawaii!

Anyway! "International" food day was supposed to be on Friday, but this post got delayed! Sorry!

Happy Saint Patrick's Day

Happy Pi Day!!

HI EVERYONE!! HAPPY PI DAY!!!

Okay, you need an explanation don't yah? Well, pi is a never ending number! 3.1415926535897932384626433... and so on! On March 14, it was "Pi Day". Get it… 3-14. Well, not officially! In 2015 @ 9:26 am or pm, it will OFFICIALLY be International (well maybe not) pi day! 3-14-15 @9:26! 

WOOOOHOOOOOOOOOO!!! 

At school in math, we celebrated pi day! It was kinda funny, since me and my friends Eva, Amelia, and I sometimes doodle and write on the board before class! I wrote, "On March 14, it is international pi day!" and then I wrote all of the digits of pi I knew, I think… (3.14159265358979323846264338327950288419716939937510582097494459230781)

I think our teacher, Mrs. King, might of gotten the idea to celebrate pi day, from that! :)!! Maybe, I am not sure! Well… I don't know, I guess other people are aware that march 14 is 3-14, so… hee hee… erase what I just said. Anyway… 

On pi day, people brought in tons of food! Actually, since our section celebrated last compared to the other two, we had a little ordeal. Someone's donuts or something, had supposedly been eaten by a section before, and someone's homemade strawberry pie was missing! Finally, after much searching, going to the refrigerator in the teacher's lounge, and asking some teachers, they found the pie. We also had leftovers from other classes!! YEAH!!

Okay, so this is what we had:

• Leftover strawberry pie (from Foodland) with artificial strawberry filling and whatnot! Definitely not as good as the homemade one!
• Leftover Keylime pie!
• Scone thingys, I honestly don't know what they were!
• Powdered donuts!
• These other types of weird shaped donuts. THEY WERE GLAZED!
• Cheese and salami
• Water :)
• Chocolate cake (well not really a cake, more like a mini cake or a biggish brownie)
• And finally, the AMAZING homemade strawberry pie! There were real strawberries which were amazing! ALL IN ALL, THIS WAS BY FAR MOI FAVORITE!!!!!! THANKS GISELLE! 

So, happy pi day (which was yesterday… but whatever!)

Happy Valentines Day!!

Hi Everyone! Welcome and HAPPY VALENTINES DAY!!!

Amelia, a girl in my class, recommends a game called Whale Trail Frenzy. I will now say the things that she says while she plays the game:

Oh My! 2014!

Oh wow! It is January 1st, 2014!! A new year, a time to start fresh!

My parents believes in something called Feng Shui. It is a Chinese philosophical system. The term, Feng Shui literally translates as 'Wind Water" in English. I don't know much about it but Feng Shui is a method of "keeping the bad spirits away". At the start of every year, we ring bells around the house which is believed to keep "dark or bad spirits" out. Wikipedia says; "The Feng Shui practice discusses architecture in metaphoric terms of "invisible forces" that bind the Universe, Earth, and man together, known as qi/chi/energy."

We also orient the furniture in the house according to the Chinese zodiac. This year is year of the Horse!

The last day of 2013

HI THERE AGAIN READERS!!!!

I am afraid, I have some bad news for you!  Today is the last day of 2013!!! It might sound like a big day, but not as big as when fireworks were allowed in Hawaii a few years back. Those of you who have no idea what I am talking about, I just mean that fireworks have been declared illegal a few years ago!! Isn't that terrible??!?!?!!!?!?! But, at least around our street, we hear fireworks going off every year around New Years Eve and fourth of July. Despite the law, people still set off fire crackers!  I think we still have some sparklers in our garage but they are probably moldy or something. I am kinda disappointed though, because fireworks are so cool! 

When we used to live in Santa Fe New Mexico, on New Years Eve we set off all of these awesome fireworks like bottle rockets that made a bunch of loud noise and a big banging at the end. In Santa Fe, there was this awesome fire work store that sold tons of fire crackers and fire works. There was so much variety!!! IT WAS AWESOME!! 

I also remember when we used to live in Sydney Australia. Every New Years we would watch people set fireworks off on a bridge. I do miss those times! I mean, you can still see expert firework crews setting off fireworks but it isn't the same if you can't make a few go off in your neighborhood.  


Anyway, enough talk about fire works. On holidays and other significant times Google always posts a Google Doodle. Today, this is the doodle (left) Sometimes, like on Thanksgiving, there was a cool little video, and on Christmas Eve there was an interactive Santa tracker. Can you believe that 2014 is one day away??? It's hard to believe isn't it? 2013 was a good year but it's nice to start afresh if ya know what I mean! A new year!!!! WOW!

At school, I take French for my foreign language. I just wanted to let all of you know, that _____ means fire works in French. 

Sorry, I'll get back to you on that! I can't quite remember what fireworks in French is!  We definitely learned it though and it's not on Google Translate!

The Meowy Holiday Season

Hey everyone! I have so much free time, I just thought I might add a new blog post!!!
so….

Meowy Christmas everyone and a just plain old dandy Meow-Year!

Yes! Everyone excited? Because, we have a holiday coming up!!! So, wrap your presents and get into the holiday spirit!!!

Our Christmas tree is kinda shaggy. We got it on Sunday, like 2 weeks ago. The ornaments are falling off and the tinsel droops, but, it is a very cosy tree. That is why I love this holiday season so much! All of the stormy weather, (even for Hawaii, it can get pretty stormy) makes you feel warm and cosy inside. The perfect time to drink hot chocolate is now, dear reader, so go get a mug of the stuff and sit down to read the rest of this post! 

As you know, I live in Hawaii. No snow, but we get rain, and a lot of it. Thunderstorms have been happening recently and the sky darkens  earlier each day. Yesterday, in fact, was December 21st (for you guys in the Mainland, maybe not because you are so far ahead of us in time ), the shortest day of the year. I spent yesterday helping my mom and dad with gardening. We practically have a forest behind our house, which isn't that surprising for Hawaii, but, you reader, might imagine Hawaii all beachy and palm trees.  That's true, but not all of it. Hawaii is amazing! It has more than just beaches! Like, forests with excellent hikes and mountains. But, I am afraid we are getting off topic. Anyway…. 

Bobcat

Hawaii, is a great place to vacation or even stay if you like paradise, beaches, and not to cold or hot summers and winters. However, if you  the , I recommend that you stay in that cold, wintery place of yours. And you guys reading this who live in Hawaii, if you really like the snow and look forward to it every winter (even though, you know, it won't snow here) a vacation to Alaska, Yosemite, or some other place on the Mainland, is a fantastic idea! I highly recommend Yosemite for a nice winter stay! With warm crackling  in the lobby of whatever hotel you stay at in the park, but also a lot of , it creates a wonderful experience. You can climb Half-dome, or Yosemite Falls and learn details about John Muir and the history of Yosemite! Also, the park is teeming with life! Bears , Bobcats (actually, when we were there, we saw a bobcat right by the hotel), and Coyotes are only some of the examples of the animals at Yosemite!!! But, I am afraid we are, again, straying from the topic. 

Yosemite

Yosemite is a great place to visit over the winter if you want some snow and cold noses but, Hawaii, is still a great place. As a matter of fact, almost every Christmas, my family goes to the beach and builds sand-men  with my friends. Those friends include:

and a few other friends that don't go to my school anymore. Speaking of school, we (LJA) got out on Thursday, the 19th, 1 day before Punaho got out!!! . Just kidding. She gave me a small cat stuffed animal named Pepper and a noise  maker! They are both awesome presents! I thank you Megan if you are reading this!!!
